Peer on Peer Abuse

A child of any age and sex can carry out peer on peer sexual abuse.

This includes: Sexual harassment and sexual violence.

Sexual harassment:

unwanted conduct of a sexual nature, but not limited to – sexual comments, sexual jokes and taunting, physical behaviour and online harassment

Never dismiss this as banter, or having a laugh or see it as part of growing up

Sexual violence:

this includes rape (of the vagina, anus or mouth by a penis), assault by penetration by a body part or anything else or sexual assault – intentional sexual touching.

Both of the above may overlap and can occur online and offline both physically and verbally and are never acceptable.
