Coping Skills

Coping skills is a short course delivered to students on a Respite placement. It is designed to support students in reflecting on their current behaviour and helping them to make the necessary changes to improve their behaviour and attitudes to learning.

Although this is a non-examination subject, students will learn skills such as being able to understand their emotions, how deal to manage their anger and other feelings, thinking about what their hopes and dreams are and planning what steps they need to take to get there particularly on their return to school.
