Curriculum

Our curriculum is designed to enable students to acquire and to develop a broad range of skills through learning experiences that build their self-awareness, self-esteem and self-confidence.

The Curriculum is progression related and focuses on transferable skills including work place learning. At TJA, we keep a traditional focus on the CORE subjects, English, Maths, and Science. The Curriculum is designed to be interesting by securing community involvement and exploration. It is deeply personalised and able to flex in order to meet students’ greatest needs.

Lessons will be conducted in 60 minute time slots, with the occasional double lesson. Groups will be based on students’ ability.

TJA also offers a range of BTEC courses which provide students with vocational qualifications to enhance their skill set further.

Please see the Options Information Booklet link below for detailed information about each subject.
